Project: The Tinkering Turtle Toy Store

As Creative Director for ECHO, a science and nature museum in downtown Burlington, Vermont, I was tasked with naming, designing the brand, as well as brand assets and the toy store environment for our museum's new toy store. The store is down the street at a separate location from the museum as an additional revenue stream to support the museum. The store's brand needed to represent hands-on play and learning that the museum's brand also represented. ECHO is well-known for its live turtles as well as for engineering and science so the name The Tinkering Turtle seemed like a strong fit. We partnered with a local brand, Vermont Teddy Bear, to be part of this business endeavor. The design direction also had to work with ECHO's and their brand. We only had about 2 months to make a brand and design a store. Part of the space was designated to a back birthday party room too.
